CODE OF DESCIPLINE
Science and Technology Education Center is dedicated to providing a safe learning environment for all students and it recognizes the responsibility to develop and educate students towards greater respect to themselves as 21st century learners. The following Code of Discipline outlines the behavior and conduct expectations that students are required to uphold.
The aim of this set of rules is to foster an atmosphere conducive to personal growth, academic success and mutual respect. Likewise, its aim is to discourage or prevent misconduct and to support Department of Education’s Declaration of School as Zone of Peace (DepEd Order No. 44 s. 2005).
AUTHORITY OF DISCIPLINE
As stipulated in the School Discipline Rules of Procedure – DECS Service Manual, in pursuant to Section I, Chapter III, Part IV of 2000 DECS Service Manual, every school shall maintain discipline inside the school campus as well as the school premises when students are engaged in activities authorized by the school. Rule VI, Section 6.2, paragraph 2 of the Rules and Regulations of RA 9155 mentioned in DepEd order No. 1 s. 2003 states that the school head shall have authority, accountability and responsibility for creating an environment within the school that is conducive to teaching and learning. Thus, school officials and teachers shall have the right to impose appropriate and reasonable disciplinary measures in case of minor offenses or infractions of good discipline.
